Pivoting for Covid

Well the past couple of months have been a bit of a whirlwind, we had to postpone the event due to the outbreak on the Northern Beaches. Anyway the time has come and this weekend we are pulling the trigger rain hail or shine (or covid). We will be swimming from Manly wharf (@ about 0900) around the head and finishing at Queencliff at about 1230. There will be a BBQ and some eskies available so BYO drinks and food and we can enjoy the space kindly donated by the SLSC

Its all starting to come together as we enter the silly season! We have locked in Wharf Bar's Jetty bar as a venue which is exciting and we are getting some more sponsors come on board to. 10k is looking like a daunting task at this point but I'm confident we can get it done:) Meanwhile Harry and I are still racking up the K's and fighting our own battles with chafe. Last week included a swim from Queenscliff to Blue Fish point and back (nearly 6.5 km) 

What we are attempting!

Hey everyone! We are setting ourselves a 10km challenge to swim around North Head. We'll set off from Manly Beach, swim out to sea, and then back through the Heads and into Manly wharf. We're raising money for Lifeline as we often see the effects of mental health in our day to day job (paramedics). We would also like to take this opportunity to raise awareness for drowning prevention across Australia.
