Lifeline Morning Tea

IPD is fundraising for Lifeline

Lifeline Australia is a national charity providing all Australians experiencing emotional distress with access to 24-hour crisis support and suicide prevention services.

Suicide has a profound impact on families, friends, and communities:

  • On average, 8.6 Australians die by suicide each day, more than double the daily road toll (ABS, 2022).
  • 75% of those who take their own life are male (ABS, 2022).
  • Suicide is the leading cause of death for Australians aged 15 to 44.

How Lifeline supports our communities:

  • Over one million Australians reach out to Lifeline each year for support.
  • Lifeline’s 13 11 14 crisis line receives a call every 28 seconds.
  • A national network of 41 centres, 10,000 volunteers, and 1,000 staff provide essential support for those experiencing immense pain and distress.
  • Lifeline’s 3,500 trained Crisis Supporters ensure that no one in Australia faces their darkest moments alone.
  • Through phone, text, and online chat, Lifeline listens without judgement to anyone feeling overwhelmed or in crisis.

Even a small contribution can make a life-saving difference. For example, just $39 can connect a person in crisis with a Lifeline Crisis Support Volunteer. Every donation helps ensure that someone is available to listen, 24/7, whenever it is needed.

Please support my fundraising today. Together, we can help change lives and make sure no one has to face their toughest moments alone.

Thank you for your generosity and support!
