How others did it
Jim A Barker
Jim Barker ,a Sydney photographer saw his work dry up overnight due to COVID-19. A tale of resilience and community he put devoted his time to creating and capturing a heartfelt project to connect with the community and save lives.
Doortraits is a colourful time capsule of pictures capturing the hearts of a community in lockdown, made whilst observing social distancing measures. The first COVID-19 exhibit of its kind will go live online at Twelvepoints.Photography/Doortraits to raise funds for Lifeline. Drawing parallels with ‘Humans of New York’ the project is the brainchild of photographer Jim A. Barker. Forty Doortraits have been collected across Sydney as part of the online exhibition, each offering intimate insights into the joys and struggles faced during the pandemic
