I'm getting active in support of Lifeline
Hey Family & Friends,
I’m excited to share that I’ll be taking on a personal challenge to run 50 laps around Chisholm Park, just over 50km, to raise money for Lifeline Australia.
For those who know me, you’ll know I’m not someone who particularly likes to bring attention to myself. So, taking on something like this is definitely outside my comfort zone. But I believe this is a cause worth stepping outside my comfort zone for.
I feel like almost everyone has either been personally affected, knows someone, or has someone close to them who has been impacted by the devastating reality of losing a loved one to suicide.
My goal isn’t just to raise money. It’s also to remind people that there is always someone you can turn to, someone you can talk to, and someone you can lean on. Whether that’s a partner, family member, friend, or someone at Lifeline, you don’t have to face difficult times alone.
I want this challenge to be a reminder that it’s okay to not be okay, and it’s okay to ask for help.
Come join me!
I’ll be running my 50 laps around Chisholm Park on Sunday, 29 November, from 7am until around 12pm.
If you’re free, I’d genuinely love to see you down at the park. You can come and run a few laps with me, walk a lap, bring the kids and their scooters or bikes, or simply come down for a yarn, a laugh and a hangout while I slowly make my way around the park 50 times.
There’s absolutely no pressure to run or walk. Just having some familiar faces around would mean a lot to me and would make what is going to be a pretty big challenge a whole lot more enjoyable.
Once I’ve finally finished those 50 laps, I’m hoping to head down to El Cortez for a drink, and everyone is more than welcome to come along and celebrate the finish with me.
If you’re in a position to donate, I’d be incredibly grateful for your support. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help Lifeline continue to be there for people when they need it most.
And if you can’t donate, that’s completely okay. Coming down to the park, or simply checking in on someone you care about can make a difference too.
Thank you for your support. ❤️
I’ll see you at Chisholm Park!
