I'm fundraising for Lifeline
In the wake of the Bondi Beach tragedy, our community is grappling with a collective grief and growing anxiety. Lifeline Australia has always stood with Australians in moments like this, and today they’re more essential than ever. After the attacks, Lifeline had its busiest day of the year, with over 4,300 calls for support across phone and digital services in a 24-hour period. The crisis line saw a clear surge from people across the country who were emotionally affected by the tragedy, not just those directly involved. Lifeline also saw almost a 150 percent spike in visitors to its website during that time. To respond, the organization stepped up its support and released guides to help people manage their reactions to the trauma.
Right now, many of us feel helpless, unsure of how to help or what to say. Donating to Lifeline offers a concrete, meaningful way to contribute to our community, turning concern into action and making sure Lifeline can respond to every call, chat, and text with care and urgency. Someone reaches out to Lifeline via phone, text and online chat every 24 seconds and with your help, we can ensure someone is there to listen, without judgement 24/7.
