I'm getting active to support Lifeline.
Tragically, over 9 Australians die by suicide each day. It's a heartbreaking statistic- and the reason why I am chucking on my sneakers and walking to raise funds for Lifeline, ensuring these services remain available for those who need them, anytime, anywhere.
Lifeline save lives every single day. Someone reaches out via phone call, text or online chat ever 24 SECONDS, and behind every one of those calls is a person taking the hardest first step they can make- asking for help. I want to make sure that when someone finds the courage to reach out there is always someone there to listen.
This is what this walk is about. Taking one step at a time- for people finding their footing, for those struggling in silence and for those who deserve to know they are not alone in their darkest moments.
