Shaving my head for Lifeline @ Brotherwolf Barbershop

As most of you would know, I have been growing my hair for a few a years now… but now feels the right time to shave it all off to raise awareness and funds for a charity particularly close to my heart: Lifeline.

Lifeline is an amazing charity, that provides all Australians experiencing a personal crisis with access to 24 hour support and suicide prevention.

We all have ups and downs in life, but the most important thing that keeps me is going is having my loved ones around me to lean on for support. Some people aren’t so lucky and lifeline plays a crucial role in our community to support and provide assistance to anyone who needs it.

Lifeline and mental health support, is a cause particularly close to my heart. My mum sadly lost her father in1966 to suicide.

I never got the chance to meet my grandfather, as he was gone long before I was born. He passed when my Mum was just one. This event is in honour of my Pop and for all those who battle through their own struggles at times.

Thanks to the amazing team at BrotherWolf Prahran for making this possible. The boys Eamon and Paddy, will be looking after me and hopefully my head won’t look too rough on the other side 🤣 Yet in all seriousness, the barber shop is an amazing place where people can connect and feel apart of a community. So it only feels right to do it in a location that holds a special place in not only my heart but so many others.

Any donation would be more than appreciated, but this event is more about the conversation that counts - never be afraid to tell those around you how much you love them. Pop I would have loved to meet you and I hope you’re proud of this 💙
