I'm getting active to support Lifeline.

Life has taught me that you never really know what someone else is carrying. 
A conversation, a kind word, or simply knowing someone cares can have more impact than we realise. 
I want my Son to always know just how important it is to help others and do what we can to make a difference where we can, which is  why I've chosen to support Lifeline through this challenge.

On Saturday 25th July, I'll be walking 50km from Mornington to Fort Nepean to raise funds for the work Lifeline does within our community. 

The fundraiser is  about recognising the dedication of Lifeline’s volunteers, who give their time and compassion to support others. The impact they have, often quietly, is significant.
Someone reaches out to Lifeline via phone, text, or online chat every 24 seconds, and so I'd love to be able to give something to support them and the work that they do!

 Every donation is a step towards  helping ensure that when someone is at their lowest, there is someone there to listen, respond, and support them through it. Thank you for your support - big or small!!

Sore, bolstered and exhausted......but I did it!!!

It's been a huge day of walking. There's not one part of my feet that aren't blistered. I've walked through 4 rain periods, in the dark with no lights and not a sole in sight ..... But I've done my 50km walk!!!! Thank you to everyone who has supported me with this today!!!

Been busy getting some training for this walk in over the past few weeks ( not a big walker, so it's been great!) excited to actually do the whole thing this weekend, but did want to thank everyone for their kindness, generosity and support..... Raising way more than I'd thought means the world and am hoping will make a difference somewhere 😊

And so it begins!!!

After only creating this fundraiser in the last 24 hours and my initial goal for donations already being exceeded, I am so, so, so grateful to everyone that believes in me and has been so kind as to support me with this walk!! Thank you 🥰
I'm so lucky to live on the Peninsula and after mapping out the route and actually beginning to practice the walk today, it has reminded me just how lucky I am and I've love to keep raising as much as possible and giving back.

My wee buddy has agreed to help me build up traction to be able to doing the walk next month and become my walking partner... Even if he does have to use his electric scooter, he's still committed to supporting this idea!
First day and we've conquered 10km of the route so there's hope for this amateur haha 😂 😆
