I'm getting active to support Lifeline.
I've been practising survival and bushcraft techniques all over the world for 35 years as well as been a solo hiker for over 3 decades, and run Survival Courses Tasmania as the Chief Instructor full time.
My survival challenge is to climb the 4 highest peaks (North, East, South, West) in the Ben Lomond NP...however, nobody has ever hiked from the Western peak (Ragged Jack) across to the main part of Ben Lomond before!
It is an extremely steep boulder ravine, first passing through double-canopy bush with no tracks or trails. It will take me 3-4 days in total to complete, covering most of the 165 square kilometre area. I will only be using one track which goes 3/4 of the way up to the summit of Ragged Jack.
The reason for raising money for Lifeline is that more and more Aussies are heading into the wilderness for mental health (especially since COVID), and some of them can get into trouble when the weather turns unexpectedly or through being underprepared etc.
Thanks for your support.

So exciting! And a great cause 😊
