I'm getting active to support Lifeline.
This September 2026, I'll be walking over four days from the steps of the Sydney Opera House to Faulconbridge in the Blue Mountains to raise awareness for mental health and raise funds for Lifeline Australia.
I've always wanted to do something big. Something that challenged me. Something that pushed me well beyond my comfort zone.
This is that challenge.
Mental health has touched my own life, making this journey deeply personal.
There were times when it was difficult to see a way forward, when putting one foot in front of the other felt harder than it should. Looking back now, I can see that healing didn't happen all at once. It happened one step at a time.
Today, I look back with gratitude and pride at how far I have come. Becoming a counsellor was part of that journey, but more importantly, it taught me that none of us are meant to walk life's challenges alone.
But this walk is about more than my story.
I'm walking for the people who feel unheard. For those who are struggling in silence. For those who feel like they don't have a voice, or don't know how they'll get through tomorrow.
Every step represents resilience, hope and the courage to keep moving forward, no matter how slow the journey may feel.
I hope this challenge reminds people that everyone has their own path to walk. Everyone carries their own story. Progress doesn't have to be big to matter. Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is take the next step.
If this walk helps just one person feel seen, start a conversation, reach out for support, or realise they're not alone, every kilometre will be worth it.
Tragically, more than nine Australians die by suicide every day. It's a heartbreaking statistic and one that reminds us why services like Lifeline are so important.
Every 24 seconds, someone contacts Lifeline by phone, text or online chat. With your support, we can help ensure there's always someone there to listen, without judgement, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
If you're able to, I'd be incredibly grateful for your support. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps Lifeline continue providing hope and support to people when they need it most.
One foot in front of the other.
One more day.
One conversation.
One life.
Together, we can make a difference.
Thank you for your support.
