I'm getting active to support Lifeline.
This September, for Suicide Prevention Month, I’m challenging myself to walk 150kms and raise $550 for suicide prevention.
This isn’t just a fundraiser to me it’s deeply personal.
Earlier this year, my family and I lost my dad. Losing him has changed our lives forever. There isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t miss him, wish he was still here, or wonder if things could have been different. The grief that comes with losing someone to suicide is something no family should have to experience, and it’s a pain that stays with you.
I’m doing this in memory of my dad, and for every person we’ve lost too soon. But I’m also doing it for those who are still here for the people silently struggling, for the families walking beside them, and for anyone who needs to know that they are not alone.
Every step I take throughout September is a reminder that every life matters. Every conversation about mental health matters. Every act of kindness, every check-in, and every effort to break the stigma has the power to make a difference.
If you’re able to support me by making a donation, sharing this page, or even starting a conversation about mental health, I would be incredibly grateful. Together, we can help raise awareness, fund vital suicide prevention services, and give hope to those who need it most.
Thank you for supporting a cause that means so much to me. Thank you for helping me honour my dad’s memory in a way that I hope will make a difference for others.
For Dad. For everyone we’ve lost. For everyone still fighting. Every step is for you. 💛

Every Step for Hope: Why I’m Walking This September
When I first thought about Suicide Prevention Month, I knew I wanted to do something that was bigger than myself. I wanted to honour my dad, raise awareness, and hopefully make a difference for someone else who may be fighting a battle they haven’t told anyone about.
Earlier this year, my family and I lost my dad after he battled his own demons. Losing him has been the hardest thing we’ve ever experienced. Grief doesn’t follow a timeline, and there isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t think about him. I miss his presence, his voice, and the moments we should still have together.
As heartbreaking as it is, I also know my family isn’t alone. Suicide affects thousands of families every year, leaving behind loved ones trying to understand the unimaginable while carrying a loss that changes them forever.
That’s why this September, for Suicide Prevention Month, I’m taking on a challenge to walk 150 km and raise $550 for suicide prevention.
Every kilometre I walk is for my dad. Every donation is in support of someone who may need help today. Every conversation we start about mental health is a step towards breaking the stigma that prevents so many people from reaching out.
This fundraiser isn’t only about remembering those we’ve lost—it’s about fighting for those who are still here. It’s about creating hope, encouraging kindness, and reminding people that they are never alone, even when life feels overwhelming.
If you’ve found your way to this page, I’d love for you to be part of this journey. Whether you choose to donate, join the walking challenge, share this fundraiser, or simply check in on someone you care about, you’re helping create change.
If you’ve lost someone to suicide, I’m walking for them too.
If you’re struggling yourself, I want you to know that your life matters. You matter. There are people who care about you, even if it doesn’t always feel that way.
Thank you for supporting this fundraiser and helping me honour my dad’s memory in a way that I hope brings hope to others. Together, we can raise awareness, encourage conversations, and remind people that asking for help is a sign of strength.
Every step matters. Every conversation matters. Every life matters.
For Dad. For everyone we’ve lost. For everyone still fighting. 💛
