Be the answer. Be active.
Welcome to rebel Be Active.
Uniting Australians to take action against the growing number of lives lost to suicide.
Motivated to do something? rebel Be Active delivers a great range of activities to join through community participation, allowing you to experience the transformative power of sport in your own time and in your own way.
Sport means something different to us all. You might want to run, swim, cycle or hike.
It can be a big race or your own personal challenge. It doesn’t matter how you decide to Be Active. What really counts is keeping the phones running. Your efforts will help ensure that the next caller is heard.
Be active, be challenged, be brave
There’s strength within, a life you can save
Unlock your hero with every stride you make
Heart full, a stranger helped with the call we could take
We can’t wait to see what you do next

The Push Up Challenge
June 1 - 23 2023
Together, Lifeline and The Push Up Challenge aim to raise awareness about mental health and the impact of suicide on Australians. Participants will take on 3,144 push-ups across 23 days in June, putting the spotlight on the tragic number of lives lost to suicide in Australia in 2021.
All funds raised will go towards mental health and crisis support services, helping to break stigmas and provide hope to those struggling with their mental health, so no one is going through their darkest moments alone.

Create Your Own Challenge
It could be climbing Everest or climbing the stairs every day at work, riding your bike around Australia or walking 10km every day for a month.
Set your challenge and create your fundraising page – tell all your friends what you’re doing and why. If you have a very unique challenge why not contact your local paper or radio station and see if they’ll help to spread the word.
If you’re stuck for ideas, please get in touch and we’ll help figure out the best option for you
How others did it
Be Like the Tenacious Turtles
The Tenacious turtles are an incredible group of swimmers who travelled form South Coast NSW all the way to the UK to swim the English Channel. Lifeline Australia was chosen as a team members father used to volunteer for our service. The dedication in the training, preparation and raising significant funds for Lifeline Australia was inspirational!
The hard work paid off, the Tenacious Turtles raised $11, 209.97
