In September Alex Lumby and Philip Moyle, will be undertaking the Petra Desert Marathon to raise money for Lifeline. Tragically they lost a friend of their’s to suicide 18 months ago, and at the funeral his widow said the words “will you boys just bloody well talk to each other”. With this message ringing in their ears, they have reached out to their corporate networks and personal friends to seek support for this incredibly important and now personal matter – with suicide being the leading cause of death for Australians between the ages of 15 and 44.
“Running a 42 km marathon over very challenging terrain in the heat of a desert, will be a huge challenge for both of us 50 something year olds, but this is such an important cause and we are hugely grateful for the support we have received to assist Lifeline as they help people in their moment of crisis” – Alex and Philip
